ISRAEL NATURE AND NATIONAL PARKS PROTECTION AUTHORITY (INPA)

Israel Nature and Parks Authority (INPA). The organization is responsible for nature protection in Israel. The organization is responsible for managing nature reserves in the country, for biodiversity conservation as well as for managing facilities for visitors. The organization is dealing with protected natural values (mainly species but also some geological ones both in and outside nature reserves). Another aspect, altogether, is managing national parks, which protects in Israel mainly famous heritage sites.

 

Principal Investigator:

Yehoshua Shkedy, PhD, is INPA chief scientist since 2006. Completed studies in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Post-Doctoral studies at Stanford University, California, USA. Trained in both terrestrial and marine ecology.
In Ecopotential he contributes to WP5 (Data collection at field sites).
