ARATOS is one of the first European downstream value-added services provider in the space sector. The company offers value-added services in the areas of Environmental Protection, Land Use and Urban Planning, Disaster Management, Agricultural sector monitoring and Homeland Security, using EO data, space and satellite technologies. Furthermore, it delivers state-of-the-art, value-added, space-based solutions that include communication infrastructure considerations and highly demanding efficient data storage management and on-demand processing of complex, real-time data.
The company is being composed of a Space Content Business Unit, a Space and Satellite Applications Unit and a Research & Development Business Unit. Our products have been validated by both private organizations and administrative authorities in Greece, to whom we have provided innovative Public Safety services, based upon remote monitoring and full ICT support. ARATOS is certified with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO: ISO/IEC 27001:2005. The company consists of an assembly of engineers and scientists, with experience in EO Data Management, handling, processing and space technologies. The company has participated and currently participates in several FP7 projects.
Principal Investigator:
Nikos Bogonikolos received his degree in Mathematics, from the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras, Greece, in 1985. He was awarded his MSc in 2002 and his Ph.D in 2005 from the Department of Cybernetics, Kharkov National Economic University, Ukraine. In the meantime, he has been awarded the title of Honorary Doctor for the National Academy of Management, Kiev, Ukraine in 2004. He has been the President, Managing Director and shareholder of various business entities related to Technologies, Education and Training, Innovation, Management Consulting and European Projects. He has been the President and Managing Director of ARATOS since 1995, with experience in Project Management of more than 120 European and more than 70 in National scale in the areas of Space, Security and ICT.
