A new open access publication by ECOPOTENTIALists Danijela Markovic, Oskar Kärcher and Ariane Walz has been published in Global Change Biology.
The paper introduces a novel framework for assessing climate change vulnerability tailored to freshwater ecosystems. The resulting indices were overlaid to assess the climate change vulnerability of all European freshwater ecosystems at the catchment scale and identify priority catchments that facilitate the development of climate change conservation management strategies.
